Spay & Neuter
Jameson Humane’s spay and neuter program plays a critical role in reducing animal overpopulation and improving the health and welfare of cats in our community. Our efforts support animals within Jameson Humane’s own programs while also providing vital access for our rescue partners to sterilize both feral and community cats. Just look at the compounded reduction estimates:
Each surgery includes not only spay or neuter procedures, but also core vaccinations and microchipping—essential preventive care that protects animals and helps reunite them with caregivers. In 2025, Jameson Humane performed 665 spay and neuter surgeries through our Mobile Veterinary Unit (now unavailable) and facilitated an additional 30 surgeries through trusted partner clinics, made possible by strong local collaborations.
As we stand on the precipice of kitten season—when the number of vulnerable cats and kittens rises dramatically—it has never been more important to sustain and expand this work. With donor support, we can continue this momentum and ensure we are ready to meet the urgent needs of the animals and community we serve.
