Paws-for-peace

Pets can be a barrier to leaving abuse, with 71% of women in domestic violence situations reporting threats or harm to their pets, making them fearful to leave.

Jameson Humane, NEWS, and Ruthless Kindness are joining forces in a Napa Valley-wide campaign to provide safe, pet-friendly housing for people who need to leave their violent situations.

You can support this campaign by visiting a participating Napa Valley restaurant, winery, or hotel. $1 for every drink, bottle of wine, or tasting fee sold at participating locations will be donated to Paws for Peace from October 10-31.

Every dollar raised will go toward
  • Hotel rooms for survivors
  • Pet deposits for pet friendly rentals
  • Pet food + supplies
  • Veterinary care
